Ashley McGuire’s Personal Page

Praxis Circle is thrilled to announce our newest Contributor Ashley McGuire, Senior Fellow with The Catholic Association and the author of Sex Scandal: The Drive to Abolish Male and Female. To watch her full interview, follow the link above to her Personal Page. Her full interview appears at the bottom of that page.

Ashley spent her growing up years in Michigan and Colorado before making her way to the East Coast by attending Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. It was there where she began to develop an interest in the sexual revolution and its negative consequences—a theme that has shaped much of her professional writing to this day. After earning a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish, Ashley went on to work for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty as their Director of Programs. In 2011, she received a Philips Foundation Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship which allowed her to launch a full-time writing career. A year later, Ashley joined The Catholic Association as a Senior Fellow and became a voice in the public square on issues regarding the Catholic Church and its teachings.

In 2013, Ashley had the opportunity to cover the papal conclave in Rome and in 2014 testified at the United Nations in Geneva in defense of the Holy See. Since then, she has become a sought-out speaker on social and religious issues such as the pro-life movement, religious freedom, gender, and feminism. She has appeared on major news outlets, spoken at prestigious universities, and written for many of today’s largest publications. In 2017, Mrs. McGuire published her first book, Sex Scandal: The Drive to Abolish Male and Female. This consequential book acutely speaks into the gender identity crisis and the gender wars of today.

In her interview with us, Ashley answers important questions about her book, marriage, equality, sexuality, gender, abortion, feminism, Christianity, and the Western worldview, amongst other topics. Her vast, professional experience as an analyst of modern culture gives her a unique perspective that can pinpoint the cause behind many of today’s societal ills—while also offering solutions and a positive attitude towards the future of America.

Welcome to the Praxis Circle family, Ashley!
